Nothing looked wrong at first and I pulled back the slide to look and didn't see a problem, so I dropped the mag, reinserted it and still would not fire (Herter brass ammo). Both of these are decent cartridges for defense purposes, and the fact that it’s full-sized means that you will have a large magazine capacity. In addition to that, this pistol comes at a very affordable price of $500 to $600, depending on the store. 2. I have a couple of Ruger American Ranches with the rotary mags and had fixable problems with 3 out of 4 of the Ruger Mags I got.
