As far as the theory of throat size means better IBIS, you just have to look at aps-c cameras from Sony...same mount as FF but the 6500 & 6600 are not known as the best for IBIS. In any case, I stand by my claim (far above in this thread) that 2-3 stops is a much more reasonable real-world expectation for any IBIS... and that's a very good and useful thing.
